"A beast stalks us. I have seen it in my dreams."
The letter came from a priest. Eight children in a modest orphanage beside the ruins of Kloster Allerheiligen, and something circling them in the dark.
Hasko Brand took the work but the carriage never reached the abbey. You come to in the wreck, in the mud, somewhere deep in the Schwarzwald. Your rifle is gone with everything else. What you have is a torch, a handful of knives, and a long walk through the Black Forest.
There are no guns in Hasko's hands. He fights with what survived the wreck and what he can improvise: throwing knives he pulls back out of the corpse, molotovs that turn a thicket into a killing field, and a sword for whatever closes the distance. Aim with the mouse, move where you like, dash when the teeth get close. Each weapon has a job, and reading the fight is the skill.
Guns and Gargoyles is a top down pixel art rpg. This grimdark rpg with old school design incorporates real time combat as opposed to the turn based mechanisms of its predecessors/inspirations. Set against the backdrop of the infamous black forest of germany in an alternate reality where monsters out of folklore comes to life. Even if you survive the feral wolves, bats and bears, the creatures of the night will not spare you and in the black forest the sun never shines. Step into the world of Hasko Brand and his adventures across old Europe in this story set in the darkest parts of Germania.
